I photographed Angie in her lovely home near Hull on the darkest, rainiest day in January for The Telegraph Magazine. We had a great chat about life and how she had developed an eating disorder in her 40s. She also makes jewellery (pictured) which has been a huge part of her recovery.
Lunch in woods with Rose and Chris, the owners of alcohol free spirits Bax Botanics. Chris made us an incredible feast on the open fire, good food and good company. A perfect Sunday

Textile artist Laura Slater photographed in her Leeds based studio. Laura has collaborated with Bloc Blinds to produce a range of fabric blinds. I was asked to photograph Laura’s process, inspiration and portrait ahead of the release. A very nice afternoon photographing Laura amongst her work.
Cotswold Co commissioned me to photograph the manufacturing process of one of their sofa’s at the factory in Nottingham. I captured the whole process from the wood piled up and selected, to cutting the wooden frame, selecting and sewing the fabric and then finally fitting the cover and the final checks. One of my favourite types of commissions - seeing how things are made and following the whole process.
An afternoon spent with Ollie and his bee’s in Saltaire. This was my first time being so close to bee hives and it was such an intense experience, they dive bomb and circle your head to keep you away from their queen and are generally very grumpy about being disturbed - understandable. I wasn’t particularly worried until Ollie mentioned that they can in fact sting you through the outfit… luckily no stings occurred but a I did have a very enjoyable afternoon learning all about how incredible bee’s are.
