Laura Slater’s new collection, Land. Photographed by me and styling by the wonderfully talented Nina Beresford “Spending much time exploring drawing, image making and screen-printing out in the open within the Landscape, this collection captures the essence of colour, movement, light and the natural surroundings in pattern form. “
A couple of days spent meeting and photographing various people in their homes for Connect Housing.
I am delighted to announce that I am a winner of Portrait of Britain 2018. The image chosen (above) is of Jennifer Tetlow, a stone sculptor from the North York Moors. The image will feature in the first Portrait of Britain book published by Hoxton Mini Press and also exhibited on the digital JCDecaux screens nationwide.
A few weeks ago I headed over to Scarborough to photograph Michael Atkin for Pressing Matters magazine. Michael has been running Bracken Press since he left art school and has the most jealousy inducing studios in his garden. It was such a pleasure spending the morning chatting to him about the whole process and seeing him work. If you haven't already checked out Pressing Matters magazine then I highly recommend you do, it's a corker of a read full of beautiful images on such good quality paper.
A few weeks ago I photographed Nikki Hill's beautiful home for MADE.COM. Nikki run an apothecary business from her home in Cheshire. She said the renovations on the house took about 2 years, so I'm keeping the faith that it's still possible for us - ours has nearly been a year and we're now where near finished! The full house tour including interview can be seen on MADE's website
The house tour I photographed of Rebecca Hector Clarke's (Nook of the North) lovely home is up on Made.com. Currently feeling very envious of her beautiful, styled house whilst mine is currently in the messy stages of renovations but I've certainly got a few tips for when we're at the point of getting furniture!
Last week I headed over to Sheffield to visit Pottery West at their studio to take some portraits and studio shots of Catherine and Matt. My dog (Wally) also came along for the ride and desperately wanted in on the action - see pics below!
