NOOK OF THE NORTH

Last week I photographed Becca from Nook of the North in her beautiful studio just outside Leeds. Artist studio portraits are my favourite - a whole day of chatting, photographing and getting to know about someone's craft is a pretty special day. Not only is Becca an incredible embroiderer and spends hours making each individual piece, she is also skilled in so many other artistic mediums and I came away feeling so inspired. And desperately wanting my fringe trimmed, major fringe envy.

SOPHIE LEE

Last week I headed over to Rogue Artists Studios in Manchester to photograph the space of artist Sophie Lee. I always love visiting studio spaces, I often find them to be like an extension of the artists personality and a place where their creativity really works its hardest. Although Sophie hasn't been in this space for long, she has made it her own and I loved seeing her current work and ideas on the wall and the books that are inspiring her. You can check out more of Sophie's work on her website. Sophie is represented by Mark Devereux Projects
