ROOTED

Rooted is aimed at teenage girls experiencing challenges around confidence, relationships and mental health, they combine nature and nurture to bring about long lasting change for the young women they work with. Conversations and food is shared around the campfire, crafts and play are an important part of the session as is being outside and taking in the surroundings but most importantly for the girls, they have a safe space that they can be themselves in.

I have photographed with Rooted since the initial sessions and have covered every season and type of weather going. I have seen first hand the positive impact these sessions have on the girls and it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to go into the woods and capture part of what they do.
