A couple of months ago I headed up to the North Yorkshire Moors to photograph Sarah and Phil at their exciting new venture - Yorkshire Cycle Hub. They have been working away tirelessly for months at this and I think they are almost ready to open!

But let’s rewind a couple of months… on a cold March morning I drove to Fryup (best name!) and met the both of them on what was pretty much a building site, the structure was there and…well…not much else! So after checking in on their Instagram recently it’s great to see how far they’ve come.

We began with some pictures of them both up on the highest point on their land over looking the valley and then we headed out up on the moors, them on their bikes and me attempting to ride a mountain bike very far behind them - the key word here is attempting. I had a great day getting to know Sarah and Phil, they told me all about their plans for Yorkshire Cycle Hub and that it’s been in the pipe line for a couple of years now so the fact its becoming a reality is a long time coming. There will be an on site cafe, accommodation inside the main building, camping pods and bike hire and the area is full of well worn trials and new ones to be discovered. With them both being such a big part of the mountain biking community already and having such a passion for getting out there I have no doubts that Yorkshire Cycle Hub will be a success. Thanks for inviting me to photograph Yorkshire Cycle Hub in it's early days Sarah and Phil! Looking forward to visiting again once its opened.
